Hello,

Some ideas on what to try.

A "Cold Reset" could be an option:

  1. Press the "home" button.
  2. Press the "down arrow" button to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE and select "ok"
  3. Pres the "down arrow" button to highlight the RESET menu and press "ok"
  4. Press the "down arrow" button to highlight RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS and then press "ok"

If a Cold Reset does not work, you can try an NVRAM Initialization by performing the following:

  1. Turn the printer off then back on
  2. When the memory count starts, press and hold the "down arrow" button until the 3-LEDs light up
  3. Press the "up arrow" button
  4. Press the "home" button
  5. Press the up arrow until the NVRAM INIT is highlighted

Warning: This sequence of NVRAM INitialization will reset the printer serial number, the event log, the page counts, the calibration settings.  It is recommended that the information be obtained through the EWS so it can be input back in.  Use this only as a last resort.

I hope this helps,

Dave

Hello,

Sorry to hear that niether of the options worked.

Do you have a HD installed?

If not, here is where to go next:

  1. Try to reseat the formatter (with the printer powered off)
  2. Replace the formatter

I am sorry that there is the possibility that you may have to replace the formatter.  I will inquire further within my means to see if I have any other ideas.

Regards,

Dave

Hello, if a cold reset did not work, or an NVRAM init. Then you are looking at a formatter. One quick question, have you tried unplugging the machine from the network, and powercycling? You may be getting a bad print job causing the issue, just a hunch I would try disconnecting the network cable and turn off and turn on the machine. If it comes to ready, run test prints, if it prints, then you have a bad job causing the issue. In which case just clear the que, powercycle, and update firmware.

I am not saying that this is the definite answer, but I have seen similar issue you are having.

Hope this helps.......

Hello, yes I unplugged completely the machine. That was the first step I made. Can you recommend some formatter ?? I haven´t idea about it.

thanks for the interest...

Hello,

Here is an Ebay link to a formatter that may be comatible with your printer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/191658687072?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82

Please make sure to check the p/n and verify they are the same before purchasing one from the market.  Once you have the correct p/n, you can type it into a Google search and more options should be available for you to purchase one.

Sorry for the inconvienience this issue has caused you.

Regards,

Dave
