I'm using a Printer P1606dn; OS: Windows 7
I appreciate if anyone here can show me how to set the paper size to A4 as the image below
Although I've tried to set Printing preferences/PaperQuality/Size is: A4 and updated this printer to the latest firmware and driver, there is no change.
Consequently, the document is only printed in letter size but not what it has been set as A4.

Bingo! Uncheck the option "Scale content for A4" in MS Word (Option/Advanced/Printing), It will be solved.
I take great surprise that why I have no problem without unchecking that option when printing from other old kind of printer (i.e 1200, 1160..).

Hi lehoangtung,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I read your post and see that you are not able to print the A4 paper size.
I will be happy to help you.
You would have to change the location settings on the computer to United States.
Go to start, control panel, Region and Language. Select the Location tab, click on the drop down and select United
States. Then click on the Formats tab and click on the drop down and select English (United States)
Restart the computer.
From the application you are printing from, go to file, page setup and select the proper paper size also.
For a single document follow these steps:
In the program you are trying to print from, click File and then click Print. The Print dialog box opens. Select your printer, right click Properties or Printer Properties . Click the Paper/Quality tab. From the Media or Type click the dropdown, select the paper type that matches the paper loaded in the input tray and the desired print quality, Paper size, select the proper size of paper and click OK.
For permanent settings follow these steps:
Go to the start up screen, (tiles menu) type in "Devices and Printers", select settings, click on Devices and Printer.
Right click on your printer and then click Properties.
Click the Paper/Quality tab. From the Media or Type click the drop down, select the paper type that matches the paper loaded in the input tray and the desired print quality, Paper size, select the proper size of paper and click Apply.
Try printing again.
The screen shot you provided also just shows Letter on mine, but the A4 paper size is set as the default.
I have tried the settings with a couple printers and the Letter is the only thing that is listed.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

Hi lehoangtung,
Thank you so much for including all the screen shots. That is great.
Sorry that didn't work. Change the location then to United Kingdom. It should then default to A4.
Change the A4 paper size again from the print driver and try printing again.
Please let me know if this does resolve the issue.I look forward to hearing from you and will
gladly follow up if you require further assistance.
Thank You.

Hi Gemini02,
Sorry that it does not work. The Top and Botom gaps of border are still asymmetrical.
I have a bit of doubts about How " Location" & "Format" settings can change the "paper size" of printer
Special thanks for your kind assistance.
