ENVY Photo 7800
Microsoft Windows 11

Screenshot 2022-02-05 161329.jpgWhen I try to print on literally any paper other than letter there is one side that has this MASSIVE margin cut-off. This has happened both my boyfriends Envy Photo, and my mom's DeskJet and her OfficeJet. Basically, every single HP printer we have won't allow me a normal margin cut off on one side. "

I've gone in and checked the page set up. The margin settings are locked at 1-1-1-1

What is the actual size of media? I ask because the print size shown in the image you posted is 5.83 inches which if you are trying to print on letter size is too big so some cropping occurs because the paper is only 11 inches and there is a minimum margin size on the printer as well. I would try printing using custom scale instead of the fit option.

Hello,

That does not matter, nor should as the paper is set to “fit.” Additionally, there is not option for custom paper sizes with this printers driver. I am not entirely appraised to why…

Unfortunately it will matter because if the height to width ratio is different from the original to the paper there will be some cropping. Selecting fit to page will alter the h x w ratio.  Much in the way watching non widescreen movies on a wide screen TV results in black bars on both side of the picture.

Except this happens even if the design and the selected paper size are the same. The image below shows a 6x4 document with 6x4 paper selected.
