DeskJet All-in-one Series 3700

I printed the "print quality diagnostic page" and my cartridges are clean. When I go to print the alignment page and put in the answers into the HP smart area, it only gives me options 1-5 when the colors align at like 10. This keeps making the printer not aligned but it doesn't give me the option to actually fix it. I don't know what else to do.

@needhelp42, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Let us try these steps:

Check the ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridges.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Use HP Utility to align the ink cartridges from your Mac.

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.

  3. Depending on your version of OS X, click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

  4. In the Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners window, select your printer, and then click Options & Supplies.

  5. Click Utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.

    HP Utility opens.

  6. Click Align .

  7. On the Align Print Cartridges window, click Align.

The printer prints an alignment page with rows of numbered boxes. Each box on the page consists of two sets of lines.

  8. On the alignment page, find the box in row A in which the two sets of lines overlap the most, for example, A10.

  9. In the printer software, select that box from the A drop-down list.

  10. Repeat these steps for each row of boxes on the alignment page.

  11. Click Done.

Note: If HP Utility is not available, download and install the install the printer essential software from here
