HP PhotoSmart 7520 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Need some assistance on my 7520 HP all in one printer. It quit printing several days ago and I am unable to coonect to my home network. I run the Wireless setup wizard and it searches for wireless routers. After a minute or so, the display panel shosw message "Select Network (SSID)" and asks to "enter new network name". I checked my Netgear 7550 for the SSID and entered that SSID and it displayed "now searching for network". After a minute or so, message "network not found".

I have uninstalled and re installed software, reset router, printer and re-booted PC. Same results I am running Win 10 (x64). HELP plz!!!!

Hi,

Do you see more nearby networks from other devices or only your SSID?

If you see some more, how many netowrks are shown in your smartphone as example?

1. From the Home screen, touch the Wireless icon, and then touch Setup.
2. Touch and drag your finger vertically to scroll through the options and look for an option to print a Wireless Test Report.

What are the results? what options has failed?

There is my ntwk (ATT Wifi) and two others (ng-hub and a HP-Print-50-photosmart 7520). Ran Wireless test with theses results:

Network - Network Name (SSID) Found  - FAIL

Settings - Printer settings Consistent with Wireless Router Settings

                  - No filtering

                  - Channel

                  - Security

All settings were status of "Not RUN".

Not sure what happened to wireless portion of printer. When searching for network, it used to see six or eight neighborhood devices. Now it doesn't find any. My laptop. iPhones, alarm system all work work fine on the router. Giving up on trying to do wireless. Can the wireless detection portion on the printer become defective? As I said, I give up (very seldom do I do this being an AT&T IT person for 32 years...now retired.) and using the USB cable.

Did you "disable" the wireless adapter on the printer?

Yes, the wireless network-adapter could have failed.

Is there a "reset to factory settings" option on the printer's menu?

Disconnect the USB cable, and "uninstall" the software from your computer.

Reboot, and reinstall the software, plugging-in the USB cable when indicated.

During this "setup", is there an option to choose between USB and WIRELESS configuration of the printer?

Choosing one interface might have disabled the other interface.
