HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 every now and then decides not to respond to Print Command (when there's a deadline!)  Dialog box (print queue) shows document "Printing - Connected to printer" or "Ready to pring - 1 page" - but it isn't!  Doesn't matter if it's WiFi or USB connected.

 MacBook, 10.11.6.

Every time I buy a printer, it's from a different company, hoping to find one that's dependable.  This has been better and lasted longer than others - 3 years, I suppose that's beyond expected life!  Still, I'll try Epson next, not HP.  If my car only worked most of the time, there would be lawsuits!  I don't know why we allow less dependability for tech products - just as crucial, anymore, to daily business!  I'll pay more, just give me something that I can trust to work!

@Argolis,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print from your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer even as the printer shows that document is "Printing - Connected to printer".

This issue could occur printer drivers are not configured properly or the printer is offline.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: 'Printer Offline' or 'Printer Not Responding' Message (Mac)

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
