Here is a list of steps that commonly resolve issues:
Step 1: Make sure that you're using the genuine HP ink cartridges.
Step 2: Check the estimated ink levels.
Step 3: Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.
Step 4: Vent and seat the ink cartridges.
Step 5: Clean the printhead.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you taking your valuable time to troubleshoot.
I'm replying to you on behalf of Sizzlingsum_13 as She is out of the office today. Let me know if you also performed the printer firmware update as suggested in the previous link?
If yes then please replacing the black cartridge and check. if it helps. If the printer still doesn't print in black color then it evident that it's a printhead failure and you may have to contact HP phone support to explore hardware service options.
