Did not quite solve the problem at first. I followed your directions and took it 1 step father. I opened the properties went to ports tab. Looked for my printer and clicked on configure port. It was 1 numerical off so i changed to what the printer was showing. And it worked like a charm. Thank You very much. You headed me into the right direction. I can also add other computers in this menu Thanks again.

There seems to be variants of this problem, and different solutions.
My problem came back after a number of months, but it went away completely when I replaced my old Router (Linksys WRT54G) with a new one (WRT1900 AC)

A fast solution is to get your document out of the Windows PC environment. Try sending the document to your iPad. (Of course this is mostly a solution for home and small business users.) But if at a corporate level your IT department can't be on call for this set of problems that keep coming back, ask them to enable printing from personal Apple devices or, alternatively, develop a better procurement strategy.
