Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Printer fails to communicate with laptop - even running HP Print & Scan Dr. Printer is definitely online - but will not communicate with printer IP address. Have unplugged printer - restarted laptop - Just won't work. Ready to purchase Brother printer like someone with this problem did!!!

IP address is 192.168.0.2

 

When I attempt to go to the IP address, I get a message that says "refused to connect" -ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.

 

When I send something to the printer, I now get an error message with nothing printing. I have unplugged the cable box - and turned everything off and when everything is back on - still no resolution.

 

HP Print and Scan Dr sees the printer as being installed; however, it is "unsuccessful" communicating with it either.

What router are you using?

I am connected via Bright House. I am now able to communicate with the printer - and can get to it's properties online. HP Scan Dr is communicating with the printer; however still not printing test page - print queu needs repair based on the picture in scan dr.
