Hi,

Thank you for contacting the HP Forums!

I saw your post on how you are getting the error message, "service stations stalled," with your HP Envy 4520 printer. I am happy to help!

Please try the steps within this guide, A Carriage Jam Error Message Displays on the Control Panel, and let me know what happens!

Hi Bhasker6,

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately it didn't work.

After I unplugged the printer, it came up with another error message "Improper Shutdown" and then repeats the "Service Station Stalled" error.

This is so frustrating!

Is there anyway of reinstalling the actual internal software to the printer itself?

I reinstalled the software on the pc, but that has made no difference.

Thanks

Hi,

I understand the situation  but sorry to say this , there is no internal software to fix this issue.

You can try this steps.

1. check carriage is moving freely, if not its a hardware issue

2. Check for any paper jam inside and underneath the printer

3. Make sure printer is connected directly to wall outlet and placed on flat surface

4. check for any broken piece inside the printer

If still issue presist contact HP help line to support further - HP toll free number : 1-800-474-6836
