HP OfficeJet 5258

Officejet 5258 was connecting well to home wifi on a TP-Link X20 network.  When I moved the printer to another location in the house, it would not connect to wifi.   When I moved it back to the original location... it still would not work.  When it finished searching for a network, it listed the correct network, but included Security:  No Encryption:  When I would select that network it would say "connecting" for long time but never connect.  I tried a lot of things, but no joy.  I solved the problem by going into the TP-Link router and renaming the SSID.  Then the printer connected right away -- no problems.  But since I renamed the network, I had to reconfigure some 20 other items that were on the network and that was a lot of time to invest.  I am now thinking I should have renamed the SSID to get the printer connected and then changed it back to the original SSID to see if the printer would continue to work.   If so, that would have saved a lot of time.
