Tried printing a PDF document from my Insurance company and the print was really feint. Then I tried Black and White printing and this resulted in a completely blank sheet. Therefore downloaded an update to Adobe and this had no affect on the quality of the printing.
Tried deleting and re-installing the printer but this was ineffective too.
Would really appreciate any help to get this sorted

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.
I understand that your HP Printer does not print in pdf files.
This issue could occur if the Adobe Reader is not updated to the latest version.
Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Cannot Print PDFs from Adobe Reader
You may also try resetting the printing systems by following the steps from the link: Resetting the Printing System (Mac)
Let me know how that works.
I hope you have a good day ahead.
