I have an Officejet Pro 8100 which I used very rarely. The printer was used only to print around 4000 pages. Recently, when I tried to print, the document could not be read, entire lines of letters were not printed. I replaced all cartridges wih original ones but the same problem repeated.
I tried cleaning the printhead multiple times as well as alligning it but still no luck. When inspecting the printhead I found that there was ink inside of it, leaking not from the cartridges but from the printhead itself.
How is it possible for a printhead to be damaged so bad after just 4000 pages. I have also attached a picture of the result of a printhead clean. Please note that the spot in the top left is ink splash from the printhead. Please help!

Hello @The_Fossette and thank you for your reply. I followed the steps from the link provided by you but unfortunately nothing worked. After further inspection of the print head I noticed that the small ink bags from the printer head are damaged, and ink is leaking through there. These ink bags are covered by a plastic foil and, from what I can see, the foil is perforated. This is for both black and cyan.
At the moment I am forced to revert to my old HP Laserjet 6L. The old guy is still working wonders but it has the well-known multiple page pulling problem. I did not manage to find the required spare parts to fix it (from what I remember HP sent them for free to its customers several years ago).
Cheers,
Andrei
