Printhead missing error message

HP Recommended
Officejet Pro 8610

Receiving the following error message on my printer..."The printhead appears to be missing or deleted, or incorrectly installed".   This printer is about 2 years old and I've never seen this message before.   Checked for a stray paper causing a blockage and can't find anything.  Printer cartridges are installed correctly.  Tried unplugging and still getting this message when printer is turned back on.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hello, @Yadda_Yadda - Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!

I understand that you are getting “Missing or failed printhead” missing message on your Officejet 8610 printer. I’d suggest you clean the print head manually and then try to use the printer again.

I found a wonderful document which will help you fix the issue. Follow the steps listed here: http://hp.care/2ptZzCm

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Cheers 🙂
