Good Day,

I recently purchased the HP 4522 from Costco and I am trying to Print Avery 5167 return address labels. However, they do not line up properly. It looks to me as if the priniting is starting to low down on the page.

There does not seem to be any settings for Labels on the print menu. I have seen  some posts that indicate that label printing is not supported for these printers - is that correct?

Does anyone have any suggestions or work arounds?

Thanks in advance.

Printer Specifications > Paper Handling confirm the printer can handle Brochure paper.

Many Avery label sheets and other Avery templates can be printed using this Media setting.

Set your Media type (kind of paper) to Brochure matte (or similar)

Place the label sheet in the tray, face down (print side down), with the "top" of the sheet facing the printer.

As long as the paper weight of the label is 180gsm or less, the paper (label sheet) should be accepted.

The following document was written for Windows and uses the Avery software -- there may be something of use within the examples that you can use for your Mac setup.

Thank you for your response.

The only settings under Media are Auto Select, Photo Paper Glossy and Plain Paper.  Under Paper Size I have tried both US Letter & US Letter Borderless and neither works.  The printing still does not line up with the labels.

You are welcome.

Printer, one of:

"HP 4520 printer" (14)

I am sorry I cannot help with the Mac Printing Preferences -- I don't have a Mac.

Presumably, with the Full Feature Software installed for the printer, the Media types should provide the full range of papers.   Rats.

@ShlomiL- Can you assist?

Thank you the the reply.

When I tried first I had downloaded the AVEY template which did not work.

I went back to Avery  and created the label on line and then generated a PDF which worked perfectly.

Thanks again.
