My LaserJet CP1515 printer prints the test page and any other page too light. All toners replaced with genuine HP. Same if I print from Ubuntu. Changing settings has no effect. Even a black square is printed gray. Tried different paper makes.
The printer printed 10000 pages to date. Please advice!

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Color LaserJet CP1515n Printer. I understand that you are getting the print quality issue, and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
- Remove any protective tape from the print cartridges.
- Print from a different software program.
- Adjust, reload, and then change the paper again.
- Check the printer environment.
- Check the printer connections.
- Check the driver settings.
- Calibrate the printer.
Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.
If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Let me know how you make out.

Thanks for the reply. I checked for protective tape. I did all the rest before. I tried the HP Universal Printing PCL6 driver. I also reset the sofware and loaded the latest firmware. What irritates me most is that I fixed the problem years ago by changing some setting. Any change I try now via the web interface shows no difference at all. And I just can't remember what setting it was.
Just now I am about to buy another printer. Just ashame I spent a fortune for the new toner.
cheers,
Erik

I removed all drivers and installed a newer driver. However, software changes will not help if de demo page printed directly from the printer menu is too faint and the black is printed gray. It must be a fault in the printer. It could be compensated by changing a parameter. However, I cannot find how.
kind regards,
Erik
