@LIsaK56,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing print quality issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if printer driver settings are changed or not correct.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Fixing Poor Print Quality

If the issue still persists, then you may need to restore the printer to its factory defaults by following the steps provided below:

Steps to Restore Printer to Factory Defaults:

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

5. Touch Restore.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think resetting the printer will help, since my husband prints wirelessly with no problems. It must be local to my computer.

Since posting the problem I have found that the double printing may occur on one page of a two page word document also. (Not only web pages and pdfs.)

It can't be the printer if it NEVER happens when my husband prints, and happens 98% of the the time when I do.

This was just an update. I'm going to check my printer settings again, on my computer.

Maybe I have to reload the driver?

Maybe I have a different operating system than my husband does?

@LIsaK56,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue occurs only when printing from your computer.

This issue could occur if the drivers are not configured properly on the computer.

Hence, you may reset the printing system from this link: Resetting the Printing System (Mac)

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Hi Rainbow23, I have since gone into the print dialog box in each program and chosen "Best Quality." That seems to have done the trick. I don't print often, so the jury is still out. I will keep the HP world updated. Thanks for your suggestions.
