Remote control
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Hello,
My HP officejet 6500 has been having trouble the last several months. Mainly my computer couldn't find the printer. So I would turn the printer off then on and they would connect. Today that would not work at all. So I used an ethernet wire to connect the printer to the router. The printer will print the document but in the space where a space should be it prints a small rectangle with circles in it. (Looks like a remote control). Plus the rectangle sometimes overlaps the type.

I have check for new drivers. I have unpluggd and plugged the printer back in. I have reset to factory default. I have uninstalled and re-installed. IDK what else to do.

Thanks in advance,
Linda

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing print quality issues with your HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could be an issue with the printer drivers.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: http://hp.care/2lThamc

If the issue persists, then try downloading the alternate drivers from the link: Alternate Drivers for Mac OS

Also, let us know if you have changed the operating system of the computer or the cartridges recently.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
