When I print a document from a pdf file, the top lettering for the headers are cut in half.  I've cleaned, aligned the printheads.  A scan also has a blue line from top to bottom when it goes through the feeder.  Everything is cleaned.  ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Officejet pro 8600 printer. I understand that you finding issue printing PDF files and you are getting vertical lines while printing from ADF and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

When you try to print from PDF file.

Change the Page sizing and Handling to Fit.

Refer the picture below.

Follow the following steps to fix the vertical lines issue.

  • Change the scan settings.
  • Reset the printer

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.

Let me know how it goes.

I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,

Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.

Cheers.
