So I go to control panel, Click on the Printer, Go to SEE WHAT IS OPRINBTING, and boy I see that file shows in the prinbter boxBUT it is a LARGEfile like 15 or 20 MB! OBvioulsy it is LONG time to print, I wonder why that is happening. AND it startted doinbg that only today!!  Any ne had a similar problem and found a solution!!  Let me know

Hello, @AnilBagai – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.

I see that we are having issues while printing PDF files with your LaserJet printer. Is this issues happens only while printing the Adobe files or is it common with any type of files?

If the issue is only with the Adobe, I would first suggest you to uninstall the Acrobat Adobe Reader, restart the PC & then download and install the Adobe reader from here: http://hp.care/2bDxXCi (uncheck the McAfee and True Key if you do not want to)

Alternatively, I would also like you to completely uninstall and reinstall the drivers of the printer. Here are the steps:

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now click on http://hp.care/2lVWp9I  to download and install the printer drivers.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Good luck 🙂

You issue has nothing to do with hardware. Keep in mind the size of a file shown in a directory is the size of the data that makes up the file not the size of the file when printing. When printing, especially if using postscript, the size of the file can dramatically increase in size. Even is using pcl the file can be very large since the file has to be formatted for printing and then processed by the printer. Only suggestion I can give you is to see if there is a place in the driver for quality or dpi and reduce the quality or dpi as that will reduce the size of the file. If using the postscript driver change to pcl or vice versa.
