Resetting the Printing System and restarting worked for me yesterday but today I boot up my Mac and the problem is back

A bit of further Googling reveals that this has been caused "by HP asking Apple to revoke its printer drivers. It's not known why HP requested this, but the company reportedly told The Register that it wasn't intended to cause these problems"

""We unintentionally revoked credentials on some older versions of Mac drivers," said a HP spokesperson. "This caused a temporary disruption for those customers and we are working with Apple to restore the drivers. In the meantime, we recommend users experiencing this problem to uninstall the HP driver and use the native AirPrint driver to print to their printer."

I think it's disingenuous for HP to suggest that this problem only affects older, legacy printers. Mine is a colour LaserJet purchased brand new in September last year.

Thanks! Manually installing the drivers mentioned here: https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US did the trick.

I did all of this and nothing changed except which framework would "damage" the computer. HPDM.framework now. Printer model is laserjetpro mfp m127fw.
