I have my printer for two days now, but I have already two problems. The first problem is that my printer everytime goes offline after 1 minute. With the result that I have to restart him again. That is weird, because the printer is ON at that moment. The second problem is that I have documents with text made by a photo. My printer gives a error when I wanted to print the document. Is that because my printer only can print photo's on small size, or is there something different going on.

Hi Camille,
I would recommend you to try this solution on your printer to detect what is the actual problem that your printer is facing while you send a print job from your desk:
HP Print and Scan Doctor or HP Support Assistant from the link below from HP Printers - Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows:-
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02073861?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002
It will be helpful if you can send me the file that you are printing and I will be able to troubleshoot over my end with the printer. The printer supports photo printing that are A4/Letter size too.
The printer has SLEEP capability, however you will not need to Power OFF or ON the printer, you can touch at any part of the Control Display Panel and the printer will wake up. You can also configure the settings by:-
- On the Control Display Panel, scroll right to select "Setup"
- Select "Power Handling"
- Select " Sleep Mode"
- Choose the time you want the printer to enter sleep mode
- Select "Back Arrow Button" x 2 time and you are Done.

Hi Camille :smileyhappy:,
I am not able to open the file you have send me, thereby need to get more info of the image from you:-
- What format is this file that you are printing? pdf, docx etc
- Are you printing the file from wired or wireless network?
- Are you printing the file from your mobile or laptop?
- What is the media size that you ahev selected to print the file?
- "The second problem is that I have documents with text made by a photo. My printer gives a error when I wanted to print the document." Do you mean that you cut and paste an text image from a photo and paste into your documents? What is the error message that the printer prompt you?
In additional, I would recommend that you can uninstall and re-install the driver for you printer. and use TCP/IP port to print.
Below link is for you to select the model of printer you have and it will automatically detect the windows you are using and give you the latest driver package:-
If you are printing through wireless, i would suspect that you have connection problem and you can try the following troubleshootong steps:
Solve wireless problems
1. Make sure the printer is not connected to the network through an Ethernet cable
Wireless does not work if the printer is connected to the network through an Ethernet cable. Disconnect the
Ethernet cable from the printer.
2. Make sure the wireless light is turned on
If the blue light on the printer control panel is not lit, wireless might be turned off. To turn on wireless, touch
or swipe down the tab at the top of a screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless), touch
(Settings). Touch Wireless Settings, and then touch Wireless to turn it on.
If the blue wireless light is blinking, it means the printer is not connected to a network. Use the Wireless Setup
Wizard available from the printer control panel to make a wireless connection. Touch or swipe down the tab at
the top of a screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless), touch (Settings). Touch Wireless
Settings, touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Make sure the computer or the mobile device is connected to the wireless network
Make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to your wireless network. If you cannot connect the
computer to the network, contact the person who set up your network or the router manufacturer; there might
be a hardware issue with the router or computer.
4. Restart components of the wireless network
Turn off the router and the printer, and then turn them back on in this order: router first and then printer.
Sometimes, turning off devices and then turning them back on helps resolve network communication issues.
If you still cannot connect, turn off the router, the printer, and the computer, and then turn them back on in this
order: router first, then printer, and then computer.
Still have problems? Visit the HP Wireless Printing Center (www.hp.com/go/wirelessprinting). This website
contains the most complete, up-to-date information about wireless printing, as well as information to help you
prepare your wireless network; solve problems when connecting the printer to the wireless network; and resolve
security software issues.
Note: If you are using a computer running Windows, you can use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool, which can help
solve many problems you might have with the printer. To download this tool, visit www.hp.com/go/tools.
Hope all the above will be of help to you, looking forward to your info feedback on your issues.
