I am using 5"x7" photo paper to print from my mobile device but for some reason it doesn't work and I get paper jammed message.  However if I turn the photo paper round the other way i.e. 7"x5", it will print but leaves a 1" border either side, therefore I get a 5x5 print!!  If I use ordinary copy paper, it will print ok.  I have tried  A4 photo paper, the same thing happens (jammed) but it will print A4 on copy paper.

Any advice would be appreciated.  The printer is only about a year old.

Greetings @Lindylou27

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an issue printing photos on a 5"x7" paper. Happy to help.

May I know the application you are using to print?

If you are using a computer, may I know the operating system installed on the computer (MAC or Windows)?

Recommend you to use the computer to print photos as you have more options to change the orientation, check margins, change paper type and view the print preview, as the print out will be like the way it looks in the print preview.

Thanks for the reply, did you check the printer specifications for paper handling, to check for supported papers, the thickness of paper supported and margin handling. Do you get any error when you try to print on a photo paper? Which application are you using for printing photos? Did you check the print preview before printing?

Recommend you to check paper settings and print preview before printing. To fill the page, you can use the option to "fit to page" available in the most applications for printing.

Keep me posted.
