I printed a purple PDF file from my ink printer that came out a light green. I printed the same PDF file from two other ink printers and two lazer printers and they came out purple-matching the PDF file color shown on the computer.
I tried printing a slightly different shade of purple on my printer and it came out purple.
I’ve checked my printer inks and even switched them out, but they keep printing out green.
I ran a print quality diagnostic and it looks good to me because I had already cleaned and aligned the cartridge heads.
I actually reset my printer defaults on the menu option on my actual printer but it still comes out green. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, but no luck there either.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi! @aspenjay3, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand when you print purple from your printer it is printing in green.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Kudos to you for trying out the steps before reaching out to us.
Can you try making a color copy from your printer and check if it printing fine.
Please try cleaning the print head on your printer.
From the control panel, use the automated tool to clean the printhead.
To avoid issues that require cleaning the printhead, always turn the printer off with the Power button on the printer itself.
Load plain white U.S. letter or A4 size paper in the input tray, if it is not already loaded.
On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon.
Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.
The printer cleans the printhead and then prints a test page.
Check the test page for defects.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot Color or Black Ink Not Printing.

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

@aspenjay3, Thanks for your generous response and time.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned even after cleaning the print heads the issue still persists.
Is any of the ink cartridges low on ink?
What is the operating system you are running on your PC?
Try printing it in best mode and check if it helps.
Open the printer preferences, and select the paper quality tab. Toggle the quality setting to "best". Be sure to APPLY and then OK.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂
