My HP 6830 says i have a paper jam when we turn it on. checked for jams, did the cleaning HP recommends. clear that error message and then i get 0x6100004a "there is a problem with the printer or ink system..... Called HP, talked to Denver. for about 47-1/2 minutes. He was unable to help. my printer is just a few months out of warrenty. I did not buy the extended warr. didnt think i needed to.... i have an HP 9800 running for 7 years and an HP 8610 for 5 years. both give no problems.... cartidges last an acceptable life. print great. only use HP cart too. those 2 are at my work and it is a very dirty enviroment. I have the 6830 at home office. very clean. only 1 set of carts. it looks brand new
I see in some forums ppl saying HP replaced their 6830 even tho warr expired. I am very disapointed in HP as i have been a very loyal brand customer for a long time.
one thing i did notice there does seem to be quite a lot of ink in the bottom of the printer where the print head stores itself. seems excesive.
So HP. I see by all the discussion you have a defective product and you should take care of your customers. at least some sort of discount on my next printer. That i have to go buy soon...! Canon maybe..?
