That's making me hungry.
Cleaning the cartridge contacts may help. To do this, open the access door and remove the ink cartridges. With the door open, remove the power cord from the back of the printer while the printer is turned on. Follow the steps in the next link. Start on Step 2. Before re-plugging the power cord into the back of the printer, make sure the other end of the cord is plugged into a wall outlet (not a surge protector, power strip or battery backup). This F4280 is about 1 year old, I have removed it from my computer and did a new install, same problem exists.
The problem is that when I either print from file or make a copy there are some lines that missprint. These missprints are always in the same area of the page.
I have replaced the cartriges, both HP of course, and did all the cleaning and alinging that is available.

Hi Roy,
Did you run the Print Cartridge cleaning utility up to 3 times?
Can you scan a document you have printed that shows the misprints and post it as a large image in this thread?
What is the operating system for your computer?
