Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand your HP Officejet 7610 won't scan, fax, or copy,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help you, although, to provide an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern:

Before we could work on fax, it's important to identify the issue with scan & copy as this could determine the failure, did you attempt to clean the ADF roller or Scanner glass?

while you reply, here's what I recommend:

Step 1: Clean the scanner

Fingerprints, smudges, dust, or debris on the scanner glass, under the scanner lid, or in the document feed slot can cause lines and color bands. Clean these parts with a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with glass cleaner.

Step 2: Clean the ADF rollers

Dust or paper residue on the rollers or separator pad inside the automatic document feeder (ADF) can result in copy quality issues. Open the ADF, and then clean the ADF rollers and separator pad.

Let me know if the above doesn't work and I'll send out a private message with the instructions to perform a semi-full reset to get back to factory defaults,
considering the information is sensitive and cannot be provided publically.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.

No that didn't work either, I have an error message saying  the selected computer is not available. Yet I can print with no problems.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

@Riddle_Decipher is not in the office today and therefore I'm replying to you. I read that the printing works alright and your HP Officejet 7610 printer will not copy, scan or fax.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Now try to make a copy and check if the scanner bulb in the printer illuminates. If the bulb is off then it could be a scanner hardware failure and you need t reach out to HP phone support to explore the hardware service options for your printer.

Let me know what happens. I'm always here to assist you. Good luck! 🙂
