I'm having the same issue with my 4630. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in. Nothing makes the error code go away. I can't even power it off. The printer cartridges are stuck (carrier stuck on right side). In another place on the forum it says to manually move the carrier, but I cannot. The code I get is '0X83C000A NOS_LOADER_APP'. Now my printer is completely broken? The whole thing that started this was that my printer wasn't showing the duplex printing option, and not printing on both sides. Now it won't do anything! If anyone can tell me how to move the carrier manually please do!

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer and the print carriage is stuck towards the right corner. Also, the error code '0X83C000A NOS_LOADER_APP' appears. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Does the carriage move if you try to move it with your hand?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue still persists hen I suggest you to perform the steps as described in detail from this link.

Lets hope this information fixes the issue. Let me know what happens. Cheers! 🙂

Hello, I have tried all the steps you suggested as well as the steps in the link you sent, and the steps in every other page I found when googling this error code. Nothing works. I am not able to manually move the carriage. My husband and I have both tried, and it seems the only way we could get it to move is if we break it. Thank you for your time and suggestions! I think it's just gone! I've done everything up to the point where it says if I've tried all the steps the up to where the next step is to have the printer serviced, which it's not worth doing, as I only paid $25 for the printer! Thanks again!

You're welcome. 🙂

I wish if the steps had worked. But, thanks for attempting the suggested steps. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. Take care! 🙂
