Greetings @Learner123,
Welcome to HP Forums and thanks for the post.
I see you are facing an issue with your printer asking you to insert a memory card.
Don't worry, I will be glad to help.
Have you tried to reset the printer?
Did you try to press any button on the printer to make the message go away?
This message comes up on the printer only when you select print from memory card on the printer front panel.
Press the cancel button the printer and the message should go away.
If the issue persists, do a hard reset on the printer and check.
Recommend you to turn the printer off, disconnect the power cord, wait for a minute.
Connect the printer to a wall outlet directly (do not use surge protector)
Turn the printer on and check.
Let me know how it goes.

Well thanks for helping!! I did many resets before posting. For some reason this problem has mostly gone away just as mysteriously as it started. It has stopped doing all the other strange things except for the 4 or 5 beeps at startup. Now it is working OK. Thanks Chimney.............learner

Hello, @Learner123
Thanks for the update & glad to know that the issue is fixed 🙂
I would recommend you perform a power drain on the printer to try and fix the initial start up beeps. Here are the steps:
· With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
· Remove USB cable, if present.
· Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
· Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
· Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Thank you again and may you also have a great day and even better tomorrow 🙂
