When I send faxes to anyone , sometimes they receive half pages or blurred pages or no pages. This started when I changed from Verizon to Comcast phone service. I think because Comcast is a digital environment , and from what I understand, HP is analog.

How can I correct this ?? It's driving me nuts ! I don't want to switch back to Verizon because I signed up for a Comcast package that includes phone service. I CAN"T believe that I'm the only one with this problem. Comcast technicians have not been able to figure this out. I also purchased another fax/printer just to eliminate that the problem was with the machine.

Hi @fish52,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your fax issue.

I understand that switching from Verizon to Comcast fax recipients have been receiving partial pages, blank pages or no pages at all. I would like to help with that.

You are right about HP faxing operating on an analog platform. There are a couple things you can try,

If the faxes you are trying to send are black and white only, it may help set the fax Speed to Low and turn off Error Correction Mode (ECM). Both settings can be changed using the printer's control panel.

1. From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger across the screen and then
touch Setup.

2. Touch Fax Setup.

3. Touch Advanced Fax Setup.

4. Scroll down to select Fax Speed, then set the Fax Speed to Slow.

5. Next, touch Error Correction Mode (ECM) and select Off to turn it off.

6. Touch  (Home) to return to the Home screen and retry the fax.

Here is the support document intended for use with fax issues - Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Hi xwl28,

Wow, I have never heard of anything like that before.

If the above suggestions did not help calling HP Tech Support might be the next best step to determine if this is a hardware issue, or maybe an issue with the telephone service.

What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options

"Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.

If this helps you to reach a solution please click the "Accept as Solution", and the "thumbs up" buttons down below in this message. 🙂
