Sometimes when I request to print a job the printer with flashing exclamation point will start blinking. Sometimes it will still print, sometimes it will take up to 5 minutes to print, and sometimes it wont print at all. And still other times it will not flash the exclamation point and just print as normal. My printer is connected via USB chord. The toner is about half full. Nothing seemed to happen to cause it to start acting up. No paper jam etc.. I have tried unplugging it and taking the toner cartridge out and back in. Can anyone help with this matter?

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.
I understand that the lights keep blinking from your HP LaserJet P1006 Printer while printing intermittently.
Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Blinking Lights
Let me know how that works.
I hope you have a good day ahead.

I apologize. I did not explain clearly. The lights on the printer are not blinking. It is the icon on my MacBook Pro that blinks. As it is trying to print it starts blinking/bouncing. It has a red stop sign with an exclamation point inside of it. It sometimes still prints, but sometimes takes a long time. And sometimes it will not print at all. I am wondering what the red stop sign is signifying??
Thanks!!
