I need a region reset for my printer, after moving to the UK and HP SureSupply stating the I need to use HP 301 cartridges (rather than HP 61).

Unforunately the printer thinks the HP301 are incompatible. Ths article suggests the cartridge warantee should cover HP helping me to perform the reset: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/deskjet-3050-j610-regionalization-reset/m-p/1813067/hig...

I am unable to contact HP support as the printer is out of warantee, and the online support service does not regcognise the HP ink cartridges as support items (using CH563EE as model number).

How can I contact HP to get supprt?

HP Printers - Find and Install Cartridges after Moving to another Country.

You will need new cartridges from the county you are in at the time you contact HP.

Thanks SabreTooth - I have cartridges for the new country (HP 301 for UK - printer: HP1510).

The printer thinks they are incompatible.

HP website will not let me contact support as:

- the printer is out of warrantee

- new cartridges are within warentee (just bought) but the website does not recognize them, so can't get any further in the online support workflow (i.e. Contact Us - dead end)

Hence I am unable to speak to support at HP to achieve the region reset .

It's covered under your cartridge warranty.  Call you local HP office.
