hp laserjet pro M127
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a laserjet pro M127 and when I try to print  from a remote desktop connection it will not print.

The printer print fine when I print from my own workstation. Can someone help in this matter or tell me where I can get  drivers that will work.  Also I have been to the hp website but, could not find any universal driver for this device

The LaserJet Pro M127 printer only supports the PCLm/PLCmS Page Description Language.

The only "universal " drivers available are for the three "traditional" PDLs (PCL5, PCL6 (a.k.a. PCL XL) and PostScript) which this printer model does not support/understand.

I have no experience of remote desktop, so I've no idea whether or not PCLm/PCLmS is supported for this type of access.

Hi -

Are you trying to print wirelessly? Or using a remote connection through another computer?

If wirelessly,

We have a document on this.

If using a remote connection:

To make a local printer available in a Remote Desktop session, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the Start button on the Windows desktop, select All Programs, select Accessories, selectCommunications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.

  2. Click Options in the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box.

  3. Click the Local Resources tab.

  4. Click Printers in the Local Devices box.

  5. Click Connect.

Once the remote connection is established, and you are logged on to the remote computer, the local printer that is connected to the client becomes the default printer for any programs that are running on the remote desktop.

If the client has more than one printer attached to it, the default printer for the computer becomes the default printer on the remote desktop; however, all local printers are available.

Hello,

If you want to printing through RDP session, you need to install the driver in both local and the remote computer.

You can installed the Universal Printing Driver which will be easy to install. And later when remote login and you would see the redirect printer in your RDP session.

Thanks.
