HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a Carriage jam error which then led to a paper jam.  When opening the back of this unit, there was a plastic gear/sproket split in two on the bottom of the printer.  I thought about glueing this but there is one of the teeth missing where it split. It is for the feeder for the paper going in to the print area inside.  The papter feeds from the tray to here and now will not feed in until this gear is replaced.

Where can I get a replacement part for this?

Greetings @PapaJoeJ

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking for parts for your printer. I will be glad to assist you.

Is the printer working without the gear?

For any parts or service options for your printer please contact our phone support for assistance.

Please follow the procedure mentioned below to contact our phone support.

  • Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
  • Enter Product number or select to auto detect
  • Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
  • Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number.
  • If your unit is out of warranty, please select the paid options to get the phone number.

Alternately, you can visit http://partsurfer.hp.com/ and enter the printer model to get a list of parts available for your printer.

However, to the best of my knowledge the part you are looking for will not be able on our parts store.

Let me know if this helped.
