EDIT:  Solved this problem simply by resetting the PC. The .exe software correctly booted up after a fresh restart.

I am on Windows 10.  I have an HP PSC 1510 and no CDs.

I downloaded a file named:   Full_Webpack-118-DJ1510_Full_Webpack

from: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-1510-all-in-one-printer-series/5157551

When i double click this .exe file a new window opens and briefly flashes this image on my screen:

and then within a second becomes this perpetual loading screen:

I had the exact same problem trying to open a different file i downloaded for a different printer earlier tonight.

The printer boots up and can print and I believe it self-installed basic drivers, but I have no software and cannot access the scanner function on this All-in-One machine.

Please help. I tried doing a search on this forum and found many years' old posts with non-functional links that give 404 error page not found.
