Scanner utility stopped showing the button to scan multiple pages as one document.  I've spent the afternoon trying to figure it out to no avail.  Same with scanning from the flatbed.  I can't add a document.  Every page is showing as a separate page.  The dialogue box is changed and doesn't seem to offer many choices.  When I do make a choice, it defaults to different choices.  (pdf, dps, scan to, etc.)  Using Mac OS 10.12.2

Where is HP Support?  This was an easy button to check and now the button is missing.   I have spent two days messing with this stupid scanner to no avail.  Who in their right mind would set the automatic setting to scanning each page of a multiple-page scan as a separate document?    And why would any HP decision maker remove the button to make it happen?

I use this HP scanner to scan real estate contracts and now it is simply useless.  I will need to purchase a different printer and wil DEFINITELY NOT BE BUYING ANOTHER HP!!!  Why did HP change?  Why aren't you bothering to offer any support?   There is simply no setting offered on any of the utilities to set the multiple pages into one document.  Why would you remove such a basic staple?

Hi! @coldinwisconsin, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you have issues scanning multiple pages into one document.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom. Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.

One of those is Format, make the Format PDF.  Just below that will be a check box allowing you to scan multiple pages to one file select that option and try again.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂
