I was told they are going to "return" this feature of being able to scan multiple photos with just one scan. They said this would be in a future update.

Not being fresh, I would not hold my breath about an update. I talked with tech services, they took that feature out. I am guessing to sell more product? I bought a Canon LiDE 210 and it works like my old hp printer. Multiple pic's into individual files and is working great. Wish I had known my new photosmart 6520 didn't work like the old, I ASSUMED it would have a better program but it doesn't have it at all.

When you add pages, you save individual files of each  scanned images, but when you rename one page, it renames all of the pages with the same name.  Not very user friendly.  Any solution to this renaming issue?

As far as I know you have different subjects/pages you have to change destination so you can rename. You can scan many pages under one file clicking the lower left icon. That's all I have for you....Good Luck

Given time elapse I may be using a newer version. However, on mine go to Scan tab of advanced settings and check "Auto Crop" near the bottom. This will then chop things up into separate images.

Hello ScrivTheRed,

Thanks, I must have an older printer (Photosmart 6520). I tried what you said and don't have that option. Back 3+ years ago I did get ahold of HP and they verified that my printer does not do multiple files at one time. Went out and bought a Canon scanner that works great. Thank You Again
