HP5520/MAC workbook
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I just bought a new MAC Workbook, down loaded drivers from HP for my HP Photosmart 5520. I had been using this same printer with a MAC Book Air. Now when I scan to my computer the scan comes through with a dark magenta background and the print is hard to see. Help, any suggestions???? Note I would try my MAC Book Air but it died that is why I have a new computer.

Greetings @SteveErb

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are getting a Magenta background when you scan from your computer.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your own?

Recommend you make a color copy on the printer and check.

If the issue is visible when you make a copy, please refer to this HP Article for the troubleshooting steps and check.

If the printer makes a color copy without any issues, please try a different application to scan a document or image on your computer.

HP Printers - How to Scan from the Computer (Mac) - You can download HP Easy scan app from the MAC store and check.

Let me know how it goes.
