Product: HP Color Laserjet MFP E77830

So this is a bit of an odd one... we have an HP Color Laserjet MFP 77830 at the office and a lot of our employees scan their documents to email. The documents always show up fine when scanned and printed to the same printer, but one of our employees came to me with a black/extremely dark document after attempting to print the scanned document at home. Now my first question was immediately what type of printer do you have at home? He said he doesn't think it's a problem with his printer as the same thing has happened to other employees in the past. It is my understanding that it doesn't happen always but is frequent enough to be a problem. Is there ANY way that this is a problem with the office printer/scanner, and is there any possible solutions I could at least try? I want to be able to at least rule out the office printer being a problem if there is no solution. PLEASE HELP!
