It is incredible that a scanner that I have had for a few years, that is new, with very little use, and that I have used about thirty times has been made obsolete by HP's decision, without any explanation.
Couldn't they have created a patch to bypass its dependence on the Flash program?
I am outraged at having to throw away a perfectly working scanner.
It's the most environmentally unfriendly thing I've ever heard in my life.
It makes me consider buying any HP products again.
The next time I have to renew my computer or monitor I will refuse to use any HP, unless you give me a solution.

Hi @LuisPM,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are unable to scan.
Adobe has stopped supporting the Flash player that was required for HP Solution Centre. There is no update on new software as of now.
You can scan using windows scan, or Microsoft paint-
On Paint -
- Open Paint. Not all models are compatible with all listed operating systems. ...
- Click File → From Scanner or Camera. If File is not available on the menu bar, click Alt on your keyboard, to display it.
- If prompted, select your scanner from the list and click OK.
- Choose your desired scan options. ...
- Click Scan.
Scan app-
Once your scanner is installed, use the Windows Scan app to scan a picture or document. Here's how:
Note: Need to install the Windows Scan app? You can get the app at Microsoft Store.
- Make sure your scanner is turned on.
- In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Scan, and then select Scan from the results.
- Do one of the following:
- Place the item you want to scan face down on the scanner's flatbed and close the cover.
- Place the item you want to scan in the scanner's document feeder.
- On the Scan page, do the following:
- Under Scanner, select the scanner you want to use.
- Under Source, select the location you prefer to scan from.
- Under File type, select the type of file you want the scan to be saved as. For example, you can save the file in different file formats—such as JPEG, Bitmap, and PNG.
- Select Show more to show the Save file to options.
- Under Save file to, browse to the location where you want to save the scan.
- Select Scan at the bottom of the screen to scan your document or picture.
- After your scan is finished, select View to see the scanned file before you save it, or select Close to save it. You can edit the scanned document or picture in the preview that appears when you select View.
You may refer to Install and use a scanner in Windows 10
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Problem is, HP removed proper drivers for this product (F2480 in my case) from site. Only option available is to use windows drivers, which make HP Smart see the printer offline and make the scanner unrecognizable by Paint and other programs.
At this moment, there are no drivers for any windows os to download from HP site. What's the point of this?
Do I need to trash my perfectly working printer/scanner?

Jay, thanks for replying. I will give it a try. I haven't had time yet.
What is surprising is that even the original CD with the drivers does not allow me to reinstall it, thinking that might solve the problem. How is it possible that a Driver Installer that is on a CD that I've had since I bought it no longer has the 'Install' option enabled?
By the way, mine is also an F2480, like the one from TehSkul.

I can assure you that 6 months ago (last time i reinstalled on my laptop) the driver were there, available and downloadable from HP site. Now they are gone. Is there a particular reason, other than force customers to buy new stuff when they don't need to?

I reinstalled it a year ago, already using W10 and had no problems.
Now on the original Drivers CD itself the button with the 'Install' option has disappeared.
It is unbelievable.

As said earlier , Adobe has stopped supporting the Flash player that was required for HP Solution Centre. There is no update on new software as of now.
Without flashplayer the solution center will not work.
Hope this helps!
