Hello everybody.
First of all sorry for my poor english and maybe a poor explanation of my problem.
I have a Hp Photosmart C4280 Printer/scanner
It used to work on a computer with windows 7 without any problems.
Right now it's working on a computer with windows xp.
Between these 2 computers the printer hasn't been connected to any computer for almost a year.
The problem I have is that my scanner only scans half of my pages.
I din't have this problem before and I can't see anything strange on the scanning device.
Is there anyone who has had the same problem or know how to solve my problem?
Here is a picture of what my scanner does.
For my example i just took a white paper. The white part is what it scans, the black part is where it fails.
Regards.
Joost

Hi Joost,
Please try copying from teh device itself, can you see any similar behavior?
If the same appear while copying I would rather suspect an hardware failure. be sure to follow the steps below in such a case:

Hi,
As the same results while copying it seems as the scanner hardware fails.
Try following the steps listed below to reset the device:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00587971
If you keep getting the same results I afraid it will require servicing the device.
