Hi Cheetah,

 

Just one more thing.  I tried to import pictures from my camera and couldn't get into my Olympus site/software thing.  I remembered you saying something about a clean boot so went back and found your link to clean boot and did that, (changing system configuration to selective startup and then after boot, returning it to normal startup) and after that, my Olympus software was working again.  I just thought I should mention that in case someone else is following this thread for their own scanner problems, that doing a clean boot seems to be a good idea.
