I scan to QuickBooks which requires a TWAIN compliant scaner. Currently my OfficeJet Pro 8710 cannot be selected in QuickBooks. Intuit's solution is to turn TWAIN on in the scanner. How can this be done? Is it even possible to turn TWAIN on or off for this device?

Hello, @HPUser68 – Hope you are well 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I understand that you are having issues while using the QuickBooks. HP Officejet 8710 printer is TWAIN compatible. It looks like, this is an issue with the QuickBooks scanner.
Try the steps listed here: http://intuit.me/2oBqn1g
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂

Unfortunately you cannot create a profile unless you can select a TWAIN compliant printer and QuickBooks does not detect one. So how do I get QuickBooks to use the printer? I've downloaded the full driver package, uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the latest software but it still doesn't work. The other article on Intuits website, which you may link next, says to enable TWAIN on the printer. Is this even possible?

Hello, @HPUser68
Thanks for the update & appreciate your efforts 🙂
Can you scan using the HP Scan software on the PC or from the scan option on the printer screen? Is the issue only specific to the QuickBooks scan?
Thanks, I'll watch for your reply!
Cheers 🙂

Would it be possible to answer my question? I know you guys are trying to resolve the issue but in the process you completely ignored my question.
Intuit is going to ask anyway so please let me know if it's possible to enable/disable TWAIN on this device. Their instructions specifically say to ensure that TWAIN is enabled on the device.
