Hi,
My scanner bar light is always flashing and this seems weird to me.
A support agent said on the phone this is normal as it is in a ready state.
Please can someone tell me how to disable this 'ready state' as it makes me really dizzy.
Thank you
Thomas

- Is this the replacement printer you received from HP?
- Are you referring to the light beneath the scanner glass? The scanner bar should not be blinking if you are not using the copy/scan feature on the printer. It does move once when the printer is turned on or off.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
