I have spent a good 1/2 hour trying to figure out to scan on this machine without any luck.

 

The answer is probably right in front of me but I just can't figure out how to start a scan.

 

Help...............

Try to locate and launche the "Scan To": 

 

start menu --> Programs -->  HP --> HP LaserJet Professional M1210 MFP Series --> Scan to. 

 

if You still can not find it,  you may not installed the full feature driver that containing the scan application & driver.  please go to HP.com and download the latest SW package for installation.

What operating system are you using?

 

Is the printer connected through USB or through the network?

Hi there, if you have installed the full featured SW package, you can find the "Scan to" icon on you desktop  or in your start menu --> HP --> HP M1210 series --> Scan to. 

 

Launch the "Scan To" then you can enjoy your scan!

The printer may be hooked up through the network as my laptop and PC are both attached to it.

I am using Windows Version 7.

 

I see nothing on the buttons that is to be used for scanning.
