I setup an e-mail address to scan document to awhile back. I tried to scan to the email address yesterday, but forgot the email pin # and had to request another pin #. The printer keeps saying it has emailed me a new pin # but I never receive the email. I have repeated this several times, but never receive an email with the pin number. I tried to delete the email address so I could re-install it, but you cannot delete an email address without the pin #. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi! @Carol28, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand that scan to email issues with your printer.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
There is no way to work around or disable this security feature and the pin can take up to 24 hours to be sent. Quite often email clients will classify the email as junk so please check your junk and/or spam folders. Please remember to use a personal email address when setting up the scan to email feature and not the printer’s ePrint email address.
The easiest way is to create a new Scan To Email profile, and don't add a PIN when it asks for it. You can also change the profile in the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer, which you can access from your computer (this will work from any computer or device that has a web browser that is on the same network as your printer)
Use the Scan to Email Wizard in the HP software to set up the Scan to Email feature.
Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
Double-click Scanner Actions or double-click Scan to Email Wizard
When the outgoing email profile window displays, click New and then enter the email address that you want to use with the profile.
Enter an email profile display name. This is the name that will display on the printer control panel for the email profile.
Enter a security pin to restrict access to this email profile from the printer control panel, if desired.
If you typically need to enter a username and password to log into your email account, enter that information into the email authentication fields.
Click Next, and then click Save and Test or Save to complete the email profile configuration.
Refer this document to know how to scan to email for more information.
Let me know if it works!
Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
