I want to use my scanner (hp photosmart 5524) without ink in it (having problems with one of the colors) but it seems I can't get passed the warning of the missfunctional color. I think I still should be able to use the scanner??

Anyone have an answer to this problem? Please help me!

Scan a document without Ink Cartridges installed

 

However, we are not sure if your printer model supports this feature.
