More a comment than a question.

I notice that my DeskJet 4120e sometimes 'stretches' a region of the image when scanning/copying using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). This appears to happen with thicker input material, e.g. feeding two or more printed photos together, and I strongly suspect that the ADF is slowing the feed in this situation, thus part(s) of the image take longer to scan and end up stretched.

Solution is to scan/copy off the glass, i.e. don't use the ADF with thicker input media, or try feeding them one at a time through the ADF.

HTH,

Jim
