HP Deskjet 4645
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I installed my new HP 4645 on one PC and connected the printer via USB to that PC.

The, I defined the printer as shared so I can print via another PC.

Can I scan from another PC ? Do I need to install something for that?

Regards

Hi @@Adagan,

Thank you for your query.

I understand that you have connected and installed the Deskjet 4645 on one computer connected with USB.  You have marked  the printer as shared and would like to know if you can scan from another PC on the network.

I do not believe that is possible, however, as you do have a network, you can put the printer on the network and then you would be able to scan and print from both computers with the printer software installed on each.  Here is a link to assist you with connecting the printer to your network:

As you have established the USB connection, please note the section under  "Frequently asked questions (FAQs), "Can I switch to a wireless connection, if I already installed HP software through USB or Ethernet?"

Please let me know the outcome.
