Our printer is showing a smudge mark down the left handside of every item we print, the smude is approx 1/2 wide and 1/2 inch long and appears 5 times on the paper approx 1.5 inches appart.
We are only using normal A4 paper and this is happending on every single document.
The smudge has text in it which appears to come from the centre of the document, see sample attached
Can annyone advise how we can fix this please?

I will try and assist.I think the fuser unit has a burnt on image on the roller. It might also be that the roller is damaged and causing this print to repeat. The fuser unit will have to be cleaned and if damaged be replaced.Hope this helps.
It is so nice to give some help where possible and the forum is a great idea Thank You.Sometimes a picture speaks louder than words to find a solution.Should you find my help use full just give some credit for my effort please.

The fuser unit is the last part before the paper exits the printer. This part gets hot so be careful.you should be able to see the rollers if you open the doors as to remove paper jams.On the rollers there might be burnt on images of toner or the roller itself could be damaged.Should the roller be damaged it will have to be replaced.Hope this helps.

In this case, the smudges for ours changes almost every print depending on what is being printed. Should I just go ahead and repalce the printer fuser?
This is a cleaning page.
Here is a most recent print. It is taking the company logo from the top left hand corner.

I think this is the fuser giving this problem. But just to be sure before buying a new fuser inspect the rollers by eye and the image should be on that rollers.Hope this helps.

It is not the same image each time. There is a different image being copied onto the left hand side of the page, and this has happened since the last update. It may have something to do with the rollers, because my printer keeps saying it's out of paper when it is not.
